Helicopter Logistics Flies in to Catch the Cycling Action

The 2025 AusCycling Road National Championships was held in Perth from the 8th of January through to the 12th of January.

The new layout captured the best of the City of Perth, travelling through most of Kings Park, along the Swan River to Elizabeth Quay before heading to St Georges Tce, and west to Kings Park.

“One of the challenges with this event from a coverage perspective is that there are certain parts of the circuit that can only be captured by helicopter. The aerial view provides a really interesting viewing dimension to how the peloton is travelling, and captures more of the drama of road racing” said Matt Corbett, Chief Pilot and Managing Director of Helicopter Logistics.

“I really enjoyed flying this event. We had great weather, and the broadcast coverage came together really well. You can see the coverage from the AusCycling Youtube channel“.

“Helicopter Logistics has a lot of experience in covering big outdoor events such as the City to Surf Fun Run, the Rottnest Swim, as well as aerial filming for commercials, new apartment buildings wanting high quality imagery and more” said Matt.
